With Macclesfield submitting 3 teams to the A&EHCA competition for the 21/22 season the back-to-back premiers in the A2 grade have nominated to compete in the highest division of club cricket in the Alexandra and Eastern Hills Competition.
In March the Redbacks gave up 179 runs for the loss of 7 wickets to a young Nairne team on a day that favoured batting. Connor Moore was the pick of the bowlers taking 2/22 with 2 maidens in his 8 over spell.
The experienced opening pair of Filsell and O’Connell put the Redbacks in a commanding position before Filsell’s wicket was snapped up after an opening partnership of 64 runs.
